A New Year and Time to Get Back in the Game

One of the unfortunate casualties of last year’s economy was staff training and development. Many companies cut back on investing in their people because they simply didn’t have the budget.

The good news is this trend is starting to reverse itself – thanks to a slowly improving economy and pent-up demand. My training colleagues and I began seeing an increase in program attendance in the fourth quarter of 2009. Hopefully this trend will continue in the new year.

If you’re ready to get back in the game as a player in the market, here are three quality programs to help your company sharpen its competitive edge.

  • Services Blueprinting Workshop, January 22, 2010 – a one-day workshop that teaches you how to build your company’s services from the customer’s point of view.
  • Services Leadership Institute, March 15-17, 2010 – an “exclusive mini-MBA program” on competing through service quality.
  • AMA Marketing Workshop, March 22-25, 2010 – a customizable workshop (you choose the sessions) focused on strategic marketing, branding, marketing measurement, and customer loyalty. Note: I’ll be presenting a session on “Internal Marketing: Strategic Tools of Engagement for Challenging Times.”
